This is the first time I've ever tried to blog.
I just want to write about my semi-random wanderings and share some pictures that I've taken over the ages that I think you might like.
I live in the heart of Silicon Valley, but I do not work for a high tech company. Instead, I work for a biotechnology company. I thought I would do something to make the lives of people better, but unless you are a political player and enjoy that type of stuff, it is not a fun environment to work. It might be different if you do research, but I'm in operations.
I have a really small house, but it's mine and I enjoy it. I like to watch sports even though I was never athletic. I'm usually a homebody, but I don't mind staying in.I do love to travel and see different spots in this wonderful country of ours. I've been to 40 of the 50 states (it will be 41 next month) as I go to Montana. Yes, I know it will be cold, but I can deal.
Since 2002, I've been really into photography. I would love to do it for money, but I'm probably best off keeping my day job since a mortgage on a house in the Bay Area is mucho bucks.
Though I do live in the Bay Area, my roots are from an island off the coast of Maine. I added a couple pictures in this post.I find Maine to be very idyllic scenes like this, while beautiful are not just meant for tourists or photographers like me, but are of real working islands where the lobster catch determines whether the economy is up or down and whether these buildings will be maintained or left to rot until a better year comes along.
